The way you apply for a job at SSI is through SSI People-Dayforce, our recruitment platform. Creating a Dayforce profile when you apply for a job allows us to search your profile for other opportunities with SSI in the future as well. The more detail you include the better.
1. Apply
Apply for a job, set up your online profile including as much detail as possible and upload your resume.
2. Shortlist
We review all applications and may contact you for further information about your skills and experience.
3. Interview
If you have been shortlisted we will contact you to arrange an interview. This could be over the phone or a face-to-face interview. Our face-to-face interviews are conducted by a panel that usually includes two SSI managers. During the interview, you will discuss your career history, skills and experience. You will be asked behavioural based questions to assess your skills and experience against the key criteria for the role. Behavioural questioning is used so that we can draw out specific relevant examples from your previous experience. So make sure you prepare for these behavioural questions and think about comparable work that you have done which you can discuss during the interview. For many of our positions, there will be a two-stage interview process to ensure the right people have met you and had an opportunity to assess your experience. This is also to give you an opportunity to reflect, ask questions and ensure the job is right for you.
4. Background check
We strongly believe in protecting the safety and well-being of children and vulnerable communities and take child protection very seriously. All employees will undergo reference checks with a minimum of two previous employers. Your referees should be people you have reported to in a work environment. They should not be family, friends, colleagues or peers. Please check that your referees are comfortable in providing a reference for you before providing us with their details. You will also need to undertake a National Police Clearance and a Working with Children Check as a condition of employment.
5. Job offer
We will make you a job offer if you have been successful and passed all checks. If you are unsuccessful at any stage of the process we will notify you.
