This Privacy Collection Statement applies to anyone that visits Settlement Services International Limited and its related entities (‘SSI Group’, ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’) website and anyone that engages with SSI Group for the purposes of supporting our activities including by participating in fundraising, attending events, working with us as business associates, contractors, volunteers and prospective staff members.
It explains why we collect, use and disclose your personal information.
We need to collect personal information, and will only use your personal information, for any of the following purposes:
- to determine which programs or services are suitable for you, and provide the relevant programs and services as listed on our website;
- complying with the requirements of funding bodies as part of a funding agreement;
- for donation purposes and records;
- for fundraising and marketing activities related to our purpose;
- to connect with you and send communications;
- to process applications you make for employment or volunteering opportunities;
- to obtain feedback; and
- any other purpose communicated to you in writing or as otherwise set out in our Privacy Policy.
We collect your personal information when you enter personal information on our website, attend SSI Group events, correspond with us over the telephone or via email, when you donate to us and apply for positions within SSI Group. If we do not collect your personal information, we cannot provide you with information on our programs and services or otherwise correspond with you.
The types of information we collect from you includes, but is not limited to:
- name (current and former), address, telephone number, email address, age, date of birth, profession, occupation and job title;
- for contractors, volunteers and prospective staff members: qualifications, employment history, background checks (i.e. Police and Working with Children Checks), banking details, identity documents, photographs, job applications and declared conflicts of interest;
- personal circumstances and history, visa status, health information, employment and education history, details about family members, needs assessment (including accommodation requirements) and assessment of suitability of accommodations.
- for donors: bank details and the amount/frequency of the donation; and
- for event participants: organisation, bank details, dietary and accessibility requirements.
We will not disclose your personal information to anyone outside of our organisation unless it is necessary for the effective delivery of our services, such as to trusted third-party providers who support our operations. We do not otherwise share your personal information with other organisations or individuals without your consent, unless required or authorised by law.
