SSI provides settlement services to newly arrived migrants and refugees. These settlement services are delivered in partnership with other organisations in the NSW Settlement Partnership (NSP). Many new arrivals to Australia need to adjust to living in a new culture and society where much of what they have known is different, can be complex and at times overwhelming.
Settlement services, with their focus on working with individuals and families in a person-centred and strengths-based approach, are well placed to work towards independence of migrants and refugees.
The NSW Settlement Partnership is supported by the Department of Social Services under the Families and Communities Programme (Settlement Services).
