Disability Employment Services

Employment Services for people with disabilities

At SSI we are truly local and work with our partners to offer a range of services to meet you at any stage of your employment journey. We do things differently.

Our staff can speak 98 languages, and have a proven track record working closely with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) jobseekers.

SSI is a provider of Disability Employment Services (DES), the Australian Government’s employment service that helps people with a disability, injury or health condition to find work and keep a job.

DES builds on SSI’s EmployAbility program which was recognised as a National Finalist in 2017 National Employment Services Awards for Innovation in Disability Employment.

SSI provides DES in partnership with Advance Diversity Services, Auburn Diversity Services, Community Migrant Resource Centre, Core Community Services, Macarthur Diversity Services and SydWest Multicultural Services.

How we can help

We understand that every person and their disability are different. That’s why our support is tailored to each individual person. We will work with you to find your passion, develop your skills, create a plan and take the steps towards finding the right job for you.

If you are already working and need support to stay in your job, we can also work with you on that.

If you are an employer, you have the potential to employ a person with disability. We can help find the right person, prepare your workplace and be an ongoing source of advice and assistance.
We are here to support you on your employment journey

SSI Disability Employment Services operates across NSW on 18 sites including Auburn, Bankstown, Blacktown, Bexley, Campsie, Campbelltown, Cabramatta, Fairfield, Helensburgh, Liverpool, Merrylands, Mount Druitt, Narellan, Parramatta, Rockdale, Sutherland, Shellharbour and Wollongong.
