A meaningful career
SSI can support you to make a difference with every door you open. If you have a passion for making a difference, we can help turn that into a long-term career in at-home aged care.
Over 90 per cent of older Australians want to remain in their homes instead of moving to residential aged care. There are abundant rewarding employment opportunities to support our seniors today and into the future as Australia's population ages.

Home Care Workforce Support Program
The Home Care Workforce Support Program is an initiative of the Australian Government aimed at strengthening the personal care workforce and supporting older people to live at home for longer.
More than $91 million has been allocated nationally to the program by the federal government to address the combined challenge of an aging population and talent shortage in the sector by supporting well-qualified, well-supported personal care workers to enter and remain in the workforce.
SSI is proud to be delivering the program in NSW and the ACT. We aim to boost the much-needed at-home aged care workforce by 4,400 personal care workers by mid-2024.
Australia needs 110,000 more support workers in the next 10 years to support our senior Australians live at home for longer.
How SSI supports industry partners
SSI is working together with the aged care industry including at-home aged care providers, training providers and relevant stakeholders to build the capacity of the workforce and bring the best outcomes for the sector and senior Australians. The program supports the growth and upskilling of the at-home aged care workforce by linking partners with high-quality talent through dedicated program business and education relationship teams.
The program has dedicated business and RTO relationship teams to together build the capacity of the at-home aged care workforce.
