Welcome2Sydney sports ambassador


Indoor basketball Welcome2Sydney is a project co-designed by City of Sydney and SSI. The project aims to encourage inclusiveness and strengthen a sense of belonging by engaging ambassadors from the City of Sydney local government area (LGA), to engage in community acts of welcoming refugees/new arrivals. Welcoming sports activities include attending and participating in volleyball, basketball, futsal and soccer games at the KGV stadium.

employment mentor 240Employment mentors will support SSI's employment team by guiding clients who are seeking employment in areas that are the same or similar to each mentor’s own professional background.

Mentors will add significant value to refugees' job seeking efforts by offering insight into industry job markets, targeted job application strategies and workplace culture. Where appropriate, mentors will also look to introduce job seekers to professional networks and contacts.
