Volunteer Opportunities

housing7Housing assistants work with the Humanitarian Settle Program team to support refugees as they settle into their On Arrival Accommodation, find, secure and settle into their Long Term Accommodation. Volunteers will be asked to provide language support (Arabic, Dari, Farsi or Swahili) and to assist clients to feel comfortable in their homes during an incredibly important phase of their settlement journey.

SSI Volunteer Spotlight: Sue Vile

A retired school teacher and nurse, Sue has dedicated an enormous amount of her time in recent years on the front line of humanitarian services, helping refugees at many stages of their journey to safety.
