Welcome2Sydney sports ambassador


Indoor basketball Welcome2Sydney is a project co-designed by City of Sydney and SSI. The project aims to encourage inclusiveness and strengthen a sense of belonging by engaging ambassadors from the City of Sydney local government area (LGA), to engage in community acts of welcoming refugees/new arrivals. Welcoming sports activities include attending and participating in volleyball, basketball, futsal and soccer games at the KGV stadium.

Employment Readiness3

The Employment Readiness assistant will support SSI's Refugee Employment Support Program to prepare recently arrived refugees for entering the Australian workplace. This role will focus on guiding, assisting and proactively supporting Humanitarian Settlement Support clients as they look for work. Volunteers will also provide relevant language support (Arabic) where required.
