Welcome2Sydney sports ambassador


Indoor basketball Welcome2Sydney is a project co-designed by City of Sydney and SSI. The project aims to encourage inclusiveness and strengthen a sense of belonging by engaging ambassadors from the City of Sydney local government area (LGA), to engage in community acts of welcoming refugees/new arrivals. Welcoming sports activities include attending and participating in volleyball, basketball, futsal and soccer games at the KGV stadium.

English practice

The Hub English Conversation groups have been developed for parents, grandparents and other community members to attend and practise their conversational English. The English practice facilitator will deliver English Conversation sessions alongside English practice assistants and their Community Hub Leader.

Community Hubs are located across schools within the Bankstown, Cumberland, Parramatta, Blacktown and Fairfield area.
