Youth at Work Mentor SSI Youth@Work mentors support young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds to adapt to the workplace and stay in work in Australia.

The program aims to enhance the career outcomes of participants who often find it difficult to secure long term employment in Australia because of language and cultural barriers.

Mentors connect with participants via phone, email, text or in person for up to six months to help young people set the foundations for their career goals.

hss Life skills assistantThe Humanitarian Settlement Services (HSS) Orientation Program delivers to clients Life Skills workshops that assist in developing critical skills and knowledge that support living independently in Australia.

Life skills program assistants support the Orientation team with logistical, administrative and event management activities at workshops and events. Volunteers will also assist the team to create a welcoming environment for clients through language support and by participating alongside clients in workshop and event activities.

N.B. A regular commitment of at least one full day orientation session per week is requested for this role.
