Settlement Services International (SSI) is pleased to announce that the organisation has been successful in tendering for the new $5 billion employment services model, known as jobactive that will replace Job Services Australia from July 1.

SSI partnered with Job Futures to deliver the new program and will assist job seekers in the Campsie area within the Sydney East Metro region. Job Futures CEO Matt Little said SSI delivers vital humanitarian settlement services and is thrilled it will be able to provide employment services to some of the most vulnerable in the community.

“We believe that creating social and economic opportunities for an individual creates enormous knock-on effects for families, workplaces and local economies, which are self-amplifying."

On making the announcement, SSI CEO Violet Roumeliotis said that through the provision of employment services, SSI would be able to achieve greater service integration and to meet clients’ needs.

“Finding employment for vulnerable people is a life changing experience not only for the individual but their partners and children. SSI is proud to be able to offer yet another service that changes lives for the better.”
