Coronavirus LIVE: Australian death toll hits 50 as COVID-19 cases surpass 1.4 million worldwide - The Sydney Morning Herald

The global death toll from coronavirus has passed 82,000. There are more than 1.4 million known cases of infection but around 301,000 people have recovered, according to the Johns Hopkins University tally. In Australia, the death toll stands at 50 after the deaths of women in Victoria and South Australia were announced this morning. There have been 6010 confirmed cases across the country, including 2734 in NSW.
