The Humanitarian Settlement Services (HSS) program is delivered early in the settlement process and it provides refugees and humanitarian entrants with essential support and information to help them settle successfully in Australia.
Through case management, clients are connected to essential services and given access to information about life in Australia.
SSI aims to support clients through their settlement journey within a human rights framework that recognises their individual rights, responsibilities and needs as newly arrived refugees under the Australian Humanitarian Program.
The program includes basic assistance, such as airport pick up and food packages, through to assistance with accommodation and case management support aimed at developing independence and assisting the client to integrate into their new community.
*This program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.
