Volunteer Opportunities

community kitchen volunteersSSI Community Kitchen is a fortnightly community engagement activity for community based asylum seekers. It brings together asylum seekers, community groups and organisations to enjoy food, music, sport and activities in a welcoming environment.

Community Kitchen operates on the support of volunteers who help with serving meals, preparing food, participating in activities, and setting up the venue. This is a very rewarding role for volunteers who are interested in socialising with diverse groups and meeting new people.

Volunteers must be able to attend Community Kitchens on a Wednesday.
