Featured Volunteer Opportunity

Youth at Work Mentor SSI Youth@Work mentors support young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds to adapt to the workplace and stay in work in Australia.

The program aims to enhance the career outcomes of participants who often find it difficult to secure long term employment in Australia because of language and cultural barriers.

Mentors connect with participants via phone, email, text or in person for up to six months to help young people set the foundations for their career goals.

Volunteer Opportunities

Donation deliverySSI has an established donations initiative to support families, from all of its programs, with items such as children’s clothing and toys, non-perishable food, cots and prams and small household appliances. This initiative requires semi-regular pick up, drop off and sorting of donations.
