Youth at Work Mentor SSI Youth@Work mentors support young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds to adapt to the workplace and stay in work in Australia.

The program aims to enhance the career outcomes of participants who often find it difficult to secure long term employment in Australia because of language and cultural barriers.

Mentors connect with participants via phone, email, text or in person for up to six months to help young people set the foundations for their career goals.

Employment workshopThe Status Resolution Support Services (SRSS) program provides support to asylum seekers who are living in the community on temporary visas while their status as a refugee is being assessed. Services include temporary accommodation, income support and case management.

Community support assistants build on the case management support offered to clients of the SRSS Program by guiding access to local services, support with life skills development, local community linkages and building social networks.

N.B. A regular commitment of at least one shift per week is requested for this role.
